2010 ADVANCED CATCHER CLINIC

Catchers, improve your team’s runs against numbers immediately.

For the 13^th year, Tom Besser will run classes for catchers in one (3 hour) block of instruction. He has coached 4 college teams from D1 through Junior College, from Head Coach to Pitching Coach. He has also coached pitchers at Women’s Professional level. As a pitch caller, he has called over 250 college games. He has trained over 4000 pitchers and over 200 college pitchers, coached 20 All American Pitchers / Catcher selections, coached 100+ All State HS Catchers / Pitchers in (NJ, PA, DE & NY) in last 12 years.

Who will be trained- Catchers desiring to be trained in the science of pitch calling and the art of managing pitchers & catchers. Catchers (any age) will be placed in groups of 5 catchers. Note College Coaches & Catchers may request separate classes).

What will be trained- Evaluating pitchers, pitch calling, organizing communication and signals / pitch calling communications, managing pitchers, training the battery (pitchers / catchers), evaluating hitters, setting defenses (training the integrated defense), using (velocity, movement & location) and more.

Where will training take place- The Besser house in Tabernacle, NJ. (Pool side when the weather is warmer)

When will training take place- A group of 5 catchers / coaches will attend one (3 hour) block of instruction. Choose from the following dates.

Group 1- Monday March 29 at 6:30 to 9:30 PM (4 Openings)

Group 2- Monday April 5 at 6:30 to 9:30 PM (4 Openings)

Group 3- Monday April 12 at 6:30 to 9:30 PM (4 Openings)

Group 4- Monday April 19 at 6:30 to 9:30 PM (2 Openings)

Group 5- Monday April 26 at 6:30 to 9:30 PM (5 Openings)

Cost of training- $100.00 per catcher w/(one pitcher or one parent free).

Note to Parents and Coaches-

Each catcher may bring one person with them. It may be your pitcher or it may be your parent. This course is different than the coach version. If you are a coach, that is the correct version for you (see Coaches Clinic).
